Ukraine's parliament has approved a list of Cabinet ministers submitted by pro-Western political forces and then the interim government was established.
An opposition leader Mr.Arseniy Yatsenyuk assumed the post of prime minister. .Mr.Borys Tarasyuk, who was foreign minister in a former pro-Western government, became vice prime minister in charge of integration with the European Union.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered an urgent drill to test the combat readiness of the armed forces in western Russia amid tension in Ukuraine.
Announcing this, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the drills involve around 150,000 personnel and tanks, aircraft and naval vessels, and will continue until next Monday.
In Washington, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has urged Russia to show restraint, saying that the issue of Ukraine should not be seen in Cold War terms.
