897. 韓国のパク・クネ前大統領、初公判で起訴内容を全面否定ー2017.5.23

韓国のパク・クネ前大統領が巨額の賄賂を受け取ったとして収賄などの罪に問われている裁判で、23日ソウル中央地方裁判所で初公判が開かれ、パク被告は起訴された内容をすべて否認し、全面的に争う姿勢を示しました。、
パク被告は、今年3月大統領を罷免され、4月、長年の知人のチェ・スンシル被告らと共謀し、韓国最大の財閥サムスングループから約束分を含めて、日本円で43億円余りの賄賂を受け取った収賄の罪やチェ被告が深く関わる2つの財団に資金を拠出するよう企業に圧力をかけた職権乱用と強要の罪などで起訴されているものです。。
23日の初公判で、弁護人は、「起訴内容をすべて否認する。推測と想像に基づく起訴だ」と主張し、パク被告も弁護人と同じ考えだと表明し、自身の意見は「後で申し上げる」と述べました。

パク・クネ（Park Geun-hye）
故パク・ヒョン・ヒ（朴正煕)大統領の長女。1952年大邱生まれ。1974年西江大学卒。1998年国会議員に初当選。ハンナラ党副総裁。2004～2006年ハンナら党代表。2007年大統領選挙に出馬するも落選。2012年大統領選挙で勝利、2013年就任。2016年12月親友による国政介入疑惑を巡り弾劾訴追案可決、職務停止。
2017年3月逮捕。起訴内容は、パク被告は、親しかった知人のチェ・スンシル被告らと共謀し、サムスングループの事実上のトップのイ・ジェヨン被告の経営権継承を支援するため、グループ内の企業合併に協力する見返りに、日本円でおよそ43億円の賄賂を受け取ったとされています。また、ロッテグループから日本円でおよそ7億円の賄賂を受け取ったとされる事件を含め、合わせて収賄、強要、職権乱用の罪で起訴されています。
先に公判が進むイ被告も起訴内容を否認し、不正な請託の有無などが、争点となります。判決は、拘留期限の10月16日までに言い渡される見通しです。

Ousted South Korean President Park Geun-hye has made her first appearance at her trial for receiving bribes, abuse of power and leaking confidential information and denied all the charges against her.
Park, 65, was indicted last month after being ousted from office in March.
She faces charges of conspiring with a longtime confidante, Choi Soon-sil, to receive bribes of about 40 million dollars from the Samsung Group, the country’s largest industrial conglomerate. The total bribes include sums that were promised.
Park was also accused of pressuring private companies to provide funds for 2 foundations closely associated with Choi.
In the trial at Seoul Central District Court on Tuesday, a prosecutor read out the contents of Park’s indictment. Park’s defense counsel denied all of the 18 charges brought against her, saying that the indictment is based on imagination. Park said her position is the same as that of her lawyer.
The court plans to hold hearings 2 to 3 times a week and is expected to deliver the verdict by mid-October.
Park Geun-hye, South Korea’s first female President, is the 3rd former president in the country to appear in court for a criminal trial.
